Cllr David Packer
David Packer has lived in Dorset for nearly 40 years, having taken up a senior military post at Blandford Camp. He left the RAF as a Wing Commander in 1976, was a Director in the London Borough of Camden for ten years, and then joined the board of British Telecom. He finally retired some 17 years ago. He was elected to the East Dorset District Council in 1999 and was Chairman of that Council in 2004/2005.
He serves on the Finance & General Purposes Committee of the Parish Council, and is a founder member of the Wimborne & District Local Action Group.
He was instrumental in starting the Colehill Parish Plan, and is active on the Steering Group to ensure its implementation.
His other interests are travelling with his wife, and enjoying fine wine and food.
