Hopefully by now each of you will have met or at least seen PC Steve Brett or PCSO Matt Johnson within Colehill.  We are both regularly patrolling on our bicycles or by foot and would really like to hear from you.

A PACT (Partners and Communities Together) Surgery is held outside the Co-op, Smugglers Lane, Colehill, on the first Wednesday of every month, at 10.00 am. Raise the issues that you would like the police and partner agencies to tackle in your neighbourhood.

A further PACT Surgery is held outside The Reef, Colehill Lane, on the first Tuesday of the month at 3.00 pm.

Focus on communities using sport within Colehill

Focus on sport is a multi-agency project involving Dorset Police, East Dorset District Council and Youth Services.  The scheme has a number of aims which include promoting all our vibrant youth and generating healthier lifestyles by being healthy and safe, whilst enjoying and achieving making a positive contribution to the economic well being of every child.  Focus builds stronger community links between young people, Police, Youth workers and more importantly the communities where they live.  Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour in areas and encouraging our younger population to be challenged not challenging!

Now, as part of this project, I have been trained as a FIFA level one-football coach, which has enabled me to put together a 7-aside team consisting of local youth from the Colehill area.  As part of the “free football” the team will be receiving they are encouraged to be actively involved in community projects around the area of Colehill.

The latest area to be cleaned up has been at Oliver's Park.  This was achieved by using a multi-agency approach alongside members of the community who wanted to get involved with the project and help make Oliver's Park a place where children want to come and play.
